So recently i had the opportunity to fire my grandfathers M1 Garand and i loved it, being that i cant afford a 1000 dollar rifle i thought id try and get
something i could afford, after attending a gun show i found what i thought might be a suitable gun, admitiedly i think i overpaid for it. I have fired
shotguns, handguns, and few different styles of rifle, but im not sure what to expect from this No 4 Mk1 After some light internet research i have found mine

I just picked up a nice 1895 DWM all matching but without the cleaning rod. In looking at the previous postings I have only seen on the left side of the butt
stock the crest with the date 1895 under it. My rifle has a very faint crest but the distinctive date of 1902 under it. Is this unusual and I presume it
would be the production date? Stock is stamped matching and has an "L" prefix on the serial. I am in the process of cleaning the rifle and as soon
