I have a Finnish Mosin , and can't remember what model it is . Are there other models of the Finnish, or is ther just the one?

Had the old girl dialed in nicely, 100yds, Bulgarian surplus ammo. NCStar 4X32 scope on Darrell's mount. I was pleased with how she did.

How well would a NcStar 4x32 on a scout mount work for hunting??

The rifle is a Mosin-Nagant M38.

Im sorry if there is already a post about this, I looked and didnt see anything about hunting with it.

I WAS LOOKING AROUND ON THE WEB THIS MORNING,AND FOUND YOUR B-SQUARE SCOPE MOUNTS. I HAVE A MOSIN NAGANT 91/30,A TURKISH 8MM MAUSER,AND A ARISAKA 7.7MM RIFLES. I WAS WONDERING WHAT IT COST TO PUT THE B-SQUARE SCOPE MOUNTS ON ALL 3 RIFLES?

Hello everyone,

I received the Darrell's scout mount I ordered for my M38 Nugget today along with the NcStar 4x32 scope and I must say I am really pleased with how easily it all went together. I just wanted to show off a bit (since I know this crowd will appreciate it).

I am considering sneaking the scope forward just a hair since I only have about 1/4" clearance when sliding in a stripper clip and I would really hate to damage the optics if I have to reload...

Old Sneaky Pete here: Yesterday I mounted a Weaver Classic Handgun 4X28 scope on a CMP Scout mount on my M1Garand and I don't really understand how the 50yard Parallax setting will effect my Point of Aim for targets (read Florida Ferral Hogs) at a range of 100>150 yards. While I understand that scopes with adjustable objective lenses are able to eliminate Parallax by dialing in the objective lense to the proper distance, What happens with the handgun scopes when the parallax is set at...

Darrel, it seems that you do excellent work on Mosin mounts, but have you tried Mauser mounts? I'm trying to find the best way to mount a scope on my M48 Yugo. I would love a cantilever type such as from "Accumounts", or something that would allow a standard scope to be used, but due to cost, I have been considering a scout type mount, for a "red dot" or LER scope. What can you do and for how much?

Alright so, I've recently ordered one of Darrell's scope mounts, and now obviously I am in the market for a scope. After looking through some existing threads on this forum and reading Darrell's thorough recommendations (thanks D), I'm going to try and shoot for an NC Star 4x32 Pistol Scope. I understand it's a bargain brand but I also understand that many report success with it and there will always be those who receive lemons. Hopefully I'll get lucky, so far my luck...

Range Report

Got the mount for my Mosin Nagant 91/30. Had a little trouble with the bore sighting. Found a straw to be too big with too thin walls to really get it lined up right. I cut a piece of an ink pen cartridge (the part that contains the ink, above the ink, of course) and then put a small pen light across the room and bore sighted to that. Worked well.

Here are the results from the range today! One three shot group from 100 yrds. Sighted in at 50 first.

I got my mount in quicker than the scope and that was shipped a week earlier! The original ironsights on that beast were brutal. I hard a difficult time hitting a target at 50 yards. Now that I got that scope on there It's been wonderful. 300 yard shots are no longer a distant dream! Thanks!
