Here is a rifle that I picked up a while back and needed to make a repair to the stock.  I needed to glue a portion back on on the rifght side high up on the
receiver and repaired some internal cracks.  To make the repairs I had to thoroughly degrease the stock which stripped the finish.  I have given the stock a
tung oil finish followed by a mixture of 1/3 turpentine, 1/3 beeswax &amp; 1/3 BLO.  I also recut the checkering.  How hard can it be to follow a straight
line?... ]]></description>

<p>Yesterday at the gunshop I saw a nice Browning Auto-5, 16 gauge. It looks quite old, and indeed, its serial number is 29XXX (5 digits!). According to
Browning website, it&#39;s a pre-1939 production, but no exact year.</p>

<p>What would be the value of such a gun? It has a poly-choke (maybe the barrel was changed later), and English-style stock, original blueing.</p>

			<description><![CDATA[ My 23B is pretty old and cartridges aren&#39;t manufactured for it on a regular basis, though ammunition is still available.

Its near cherry mechanically and very good to excellent finish wise.
<br>
I&#39;ve only shot a few rounds through it, and its pinpoint accurate out to fifty yards with single hole groups dead center to the iron sights. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ An elderly patient has a rifle he wants to give away or sell. It was his father&#39;s. Its a Mauser 98 action with a .30- &#39;06 barrel. Post war conversison.
The receiver has the Nazi proof mark on it <img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/frown.gif" alt="image"> (hate to see that ruined
but...)  The barrel is perfect, and the polish and the blue on the action and barrel is amazingly deep shiny and professional. It&#39;s D&amp;T&#39;ed and some

Jon describes the model M sporting rifles on pages 155 through 158.  The model M is a Mannlicher style/stocked rifle.
