Just signed up for these forums. I used to be pretty active on something similar a few years ago, but got busy doing other stuff. I'm in NW Arkansas and have a few milsurps. I need to start shooting them again. As I use up all my ammo in a particular caliber, I'll probably want to sell whatever I have in that caliber, so stay tuned in case I ever empty out a caliber!

A member here, who I've known for 25 years sent me this way. I'm a regular member on Gun and Game, and I'm always open to more info, and sharing info..
I've had a FFL03 for 5 years but have been an avid shooter for.. Gulp... Almost 40 years..

hi, im dan from rural nsw australia,
been a fan of millitary rifles for a long time, i own some interesting rifles mainly used as hunting rifles.
they are lee enfields, one chamered in .222rem i use for kangaroo control, feral goat and deer, and the other in the original .303 brittish i use for hnting large game like feral pigs.
looking forward to buying and restoring some enfeilds inthe near future.

newbie shooting MAS 49 and GEW 88

Newbie here from out in the Western Desert. Trying to master the MAS 49/56 looks like it can be tempermental. I shoot in a couple milsurp competitions and shoot at the odd paper target. Hopefully I have some useful experience to share, lord knows I need a lot more!

It's just another new guy. I call myself Cordite. I am 62 years old, a veteran, the son of a Marine lifer and life-long waterfowler and my interests in milsurp come naturally through the old man. Last thing he said to me before he passed away was ," Good God almighty, don't let your mother sell the guns." That's true! I use the name Cordite as I am a fan of the old African big game guns, which back then was used in place of gunpowder as a propellant for big game...

Hello folks,
I'm now retired, close to the S. Carolina coast. My 'collection' began as I could afford more than 1 gun. Have been handloading for over 30 yrs. I recall a magazine article back in the '70's about handloading handgun shotshells, but ising a shotgun primer. Can't locate the article [of course], but have wondered if 7.62 X 39 steel cases could be machined to accept standard shotgun...

Found this site be accident while researching a little BSW Suhl 22 that i bought. Looked interesting, since i have some other WWII era stuff too, so thought i would join up. Also collect Colt, S&W, and a few others.

Also scratch build 1/2 scale, fully functional, semi auto, BMG's (M2, 1917 Water Cooled, 1919 Air Cooled). Hence the M2 name.

Anyway, probably be asking a few questions about the little BSW 22 later, since it is in uncharted terrirory for me.

Lurked here for some time and finally decided to sign up.
Moved to a state that is much more restrictive and has practically no good ranges ( found a halfway decent one about 45 minutes from my house). For some time I just gave up on shooting but when I picked up an old turk mauser for a song, i simply had to try it out. Milsurp rifles have really gotten me back into the game. Participated in my first match in a decade recently. I have to say that it was forums like this ( meaning forums...
