Gun Shows near the NYC area worth going to???

I live near the NYC area, and looking for a good gun show to go to. The Maryland Arms Collectors Baltimore show is great but mostly pre 1900. Have not been to a "modern", good show in a loooooooooong time. Looking for Garand, carbine, WWII Korea aged material .

So what within a 2 hour drive is a good show to go to. I would like to keep the dried food products and tube socks to a minimum....

SCACA gun show Columbia SC (July 25/26)

I saw some of you guys at this show yesterday. The 'lil woman & I started a little venture late last year called SCGunCo - we mostly do milsurps. We have a table in the oval office so stop by and say hi..

I didn't have much time to walk around and see what was available, but it looked good from where I was.

Maryland Gun Shows

Well, I think I reached a high water mark of some kind. The past weekends show at Timonium, Maryland is the second local show in a row that I came home with NOTHING! Not even a box of ammo. And not for want of spending money either. Hope it's just a result of the current panic situation or a lack of new stuff hitting the market. I've been buying at gun shows for the last 30+ years. The only things remotely interesting were a GSG-5 assault pistol and a Model 1914...

Was at the Greenville SCACA gun show early on sat. am and the crowds were way down...still hard to find some powders and forget primers. My brother in atlanta reported the same at the Eastman show this weekend..

The panic is in full swing! The show was so packed we had to park a quarter mile up the drive and walk in.

I was really disappointed in this show - prices are up 25-100% on almost everything. New guns (mostly AR-15s) were selling for more than they cost new at Gander Mountain. I didn't see a single AR of any kind for less than around $850. Prices were also up on the traditionally cheap CZ-82s and CZ-52s - a lot of vendors were asking nearly $300 for these. I saw a couple SIG P6s...

So many people the Fire Marshal told them to stop letting people in saturday sunday not so bad but alot for a sunday and busy.
I got a Limb Saver slip on pad for my 270"shoulder going bad" for $20 the guy had $30 on it and said he'd take 25 if I wanted it I told him I only had a 20 he said ok .
Ammo was out of this world $18 for a bandoleer of Turkish 8mm I rememberd whenI got it for $4 ,22lr WWB 500 rds $22,, I then stopped looking at ammo at that point

Lakeland FL show Jan 17-18, 09

Spent half a day at the Lakeland show today - if you're going tomorrow, go early. We arrived an hour early today and there was already quite a line to get in. Fortunately they opened three ticket windows and organized the lines before the opening and we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes after the 0900 opening. Prices Coming Down?

It's been several months since I've been to one of the large shows. I know that for a while, gun prices were going up as fast as gas. Are they coming down now with the downturn in the economy? Or are you now hearing "better get 'em while you can cause Obama's gonna ban 'em all!"? Biggest crowd I ever saw at a gunshow was in January of 1993, just before Bill Clinton was ignaugurated. Almost no place to park, and panic buying in the show.

Savannah, GA Eastman Show?

Thinking about the going to the show this weekend but want to know if this is worth giving up some coastal fishing time for?
This would be my first savannah show as I usually attended the Atlanta area shows until moving here. I'm needing some Mosin 54R softtip hunting ammo and just like browsing the tables for good buy. Speaking of good buys have hard economic times made for better buys at shows.

Last weekend, 6/21 & 22. As usual, I dropped my wife off at King of Prussia and drove to the show a couple of miles away. Suffice to say that gas is not the only thing that's gone way up in price. Not only that, but the dealers are using the threat that "the democrats are gonna stop gun sales next year" as an incentive to buy their overpriced merchandise.

The Old Codger: Weighing about 300 pounds, he stands chatting in the middle of the aisle, totally oblivious ot the fact that nobody can get by him. It has usually been way too long since he has showered or washed his hair.

The Museum Curator: Has a huge assortment of guns at his table, and it soon becomes obvious why - he is asking about...

I couldn't extend my stay in Phoenix to make the gun show there so I drove over to a "Crossroads of the West" gun show north of San Diego. Sorry, I forgot the exact name of the place it was held!!.
It was a nice show, I was surprised at how high the prices were for WWII mil-surp. I saw two 1903 Mark I's (mine are in as good shape as the ones displayed) they were priced at (GASP!!!)...

Horrible weather but a Great Crowd! Maybe the Farmer's Convention in town boosted the gate. We drove over from NY in freezing slush 40-55 mph with cars off the road frequently. Sunday's crowd was almost as big as saturdays until 1:00 pm. The weather didn't scare them off! I saw a nice rebuilt arsenal marked 1963 date M1 Garand go for $900 and an early 1942 M1 Carbine with original wood went for around $700. I bought 5 perfect old USGI 20 round WW1 boxes of .45 ACP ammo [marked...
