What is the meaning of the word "Stutzen" in regard to the Austro-Hungarian rifles?

I just came into a Carbine/Stutzen ( maybe?). Made in Vienna and remade in Budapest, apparently. It is a cut-down based on the front sight being on a band.
The rear sight seems to be for the f/l rifle. It is still in 8/50R.

It has the stacking rod and it has double swivels - on the bottom and on the side - both front and back.

What is the proper name for this...

wouldn't do this to, but I'd like to get another and mount a scope, center-bore , and would drill and tap it for a set of Weaver bases that would match
the contour. (I wouldn't touch the wood, or alter the rifle in any other way, for any crazy "sporterize" thing.) I want to use the rifle for

I have three M 95 Steyrs, two carbines and a FL rifle. The carbines seem to extract and eject most any safe load I feed them and are not fussy about bolt
lubricant. However, on the rifle, the same loads that work fine on the carbines will extract and eject fine for a couple of rounds after lubing the bolt
inside and out, but after that it takes some hammering to open the bolt. I've tried Rem Oil with teflon and garage door opener rail grease, but obviously

I was given a 1911 that had been improperly stored and the bore had rusted. I cleaned it up and got it looking pretty good but the damage to the bore
limits accuracy to around 3" to 4" with iron sights at 100 yards. Is it practical to rebarrel this rifle or would it be cheaper just to buy another
one? I really like the 1911 and prefer the longer sight radius over the carbine.

1. The engagement between the bolt and locking block is an area less than 1/2 inch by 1/8 inch. I'm a little leery about shooting this rifle. What is

I cannot for the life of me recall where I heard that, but I recall it appearing to be common knowledge when I read it. Somebody called me on it, and I felt
very foolish not remembering where I saw the reference. Does anyone else recall hearing this, and if so where did it come from?
