M76 issues?

I've heard a couple stories about the Yugo M76 builds going out of headspace after 1K rounds or possibly less, and some other issues with the US receivers. Anybody have anything to say about this? I'm thinking of aquiring one of these as it looks more suitable to my tastes than a PSL. Now I'm paranoid about it..... I'm a bit gunshy when it comes to Century builds in general, anyways....

Yugo M76 1st Impressions on the Range

Finally bit the bullet and picked up a Yugo M76 last week.

The TAPCO trigger was better than I expected with a somewhat predictable 2nd stage break and not horrible creep. The scope boresight was pretty close and was on paper at 50yds out of the box. While it's no match AR-15, the initial accuracy results are promising as shown in the picture below. This is 11 shots of Yugo M75 at 50yds off an improvised rest. Once I get better with the trigger this should tighten up a bit...

MN 1942 Tula C H marked

Hi all,

I would appreciate some help with the attached picture. From the information I have been able to gather from the two main MN sites, it definitely is a barreled receiver that was destined to be built as a sniper rifle, though never was - there is absolutely NO evidence of plugged holes anywhere on the receiver.

This being the case, would this have been destined to be built with the Side Mount and a PEM scope? From what I've read, Tula did not begin production...

Ok. I have my Dad's Enfield he bought this gun at a Woolworths in the late 40's early 50's out of the 15.00 bin.It has 4 or 5 grooves The gun has original scope mount pads on it no scope or mount also no T after1943 longbranch no.4 mk1*on left side of receiver.On the front right side of the receiver over the chamber is stamped England underneath is an emblem and R .On the Buttstock lug left side is the serial # 45L1xxx under that is what appears to be f28 stamping no importer...

AIM 03A4 update

Took my Gibbs 03A4 to the range yesterday and today. Yesterday I was all over the target only to find later that the sight base was loose again.
Went back today after tightening everything again and was pleasently surprised by how well it did.
Oh, the best thing: I adjusted the windage too far left and the knob came out. THEY UNSCREW! So I unscrewed both and swiched them so now the "up" knob is on top and the "L" knob is on the left. It didn't hurt a...

Griffin and Howe M1C Mounts

I have come into possession of two Griffin and Howe Mounts with Serial Numbers 3788920 and 3688458. It would be great if they could get matched up with their rifles. Contact me if you can demonstrate you have either of these rifles.

Aim Surplus 03A4's

I got my 03A4 repleca from Aim on tuesday.
These rifles are made by Gibbs Rifles. Gibbs got a bunch of A3 receivers and turned down bolts when they bought out Parker Hale in the 90's.
These rifles have new 4 groove barrels, and reproduction scopes, rings and bases, and aftermarket stocks. Gibbs did a few things so you can't confuse...

value of two ajack 4X90, 1941 swedish sniper m-41

HI!

I have two ajack 4X90 scopes from 1941 with mountings for swedish sniper rifle m-41 and a belonging "can" to each scope.
They are in pretty good shape and the optics are sharp with the sightings in place.

I was wondering if there is an value in this two scopes? if u wish i can place pics for better opinions from you.

I'm thinking of placing them on the Ebay but maybe it's not worth the effort?

M48 Zrak mounting question

I purchased a M48 with the mounting holes for Zrak mounts. It was part of the CAI import of ex-snipers from the former Yugoslavia. I finally purchased the Zrak mounts and scope to restore it. It had remnants of some sort of glue on the receiver in the shape of the mounts. Does anyone have any idea what type of adhesive this could have been? I have never mounted a scope before so I am not sure what would be good to use. It seems they will have a little play without this.

I have a weaver 330 scope that I just replaced the crosshairs on, when I bumped my set box and mixed up all the inserts. Does anyone know the insert and spacing order of the weaver 330 internals? I have attempted to contact Weaver,but they don't know anything. They couldn't even advise me on a scope authority. This is reason 6397 why I dislike repairing US scopes. guys I have a chance to buy a sniper 91/30 but I'm fairly certain it's one of the put together or rebuilt ones that are floating around. I won't see it until tomorrow but it's from the late 30's early 40's and it's an Izhevsk not a Tula. I know the Tula's tend to be marked with a C and a kind of upside down or inverted U but I'm wondering if this was also a standard with the Izhevsk rifles. The scope I'm told looks new so I'm not sure if someone...

M41B Lens Covers

I received my M41B this morning, a 1905 CG(pics later when I've had a chance to clean it a little) . The only problem, besides dirt and grime is, it's missing the leather end cap scope covers(lens covers). Anyone know where I can get one? TIA.

How to fix PU scope Sighting on Mosin Nagant?

A Mosin Nagant sniper I'm fixing to buy shoots 1-2 inch groups at 100yd, but the reticle is about 1/4 right and 1/3 high. I'd like to grind/shim to center. If anyone has some advice on how to do that, I'd appreciate the help. What to grind/shim, how to do it and how much to correct- stuff like that. I have files and a Dremel, so it needs to be simple.

I'm guessing a lot of people have looked at the Mosin Nagant "ex-sniper" rifles that have been kicking around recently, and thought, "I'll bet I could cobble a rifle together." The idea was particularly attractive to me, because I happened to have a PU scope and mount I picked up years ago.

FN49 Leather Scope Caps/Covers

Does anyone know where I can get a set of original leather scope covers/caps for my FN49 scope (the original Belgian ABL 1950's scope)?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
