			<description><![CDATA[ I am a newbie to Swedes, but I post on the Enfield forum.

I usually stop by various stores and pawn shops looking for un-bubba&#39;d Enfields.  Today I came  across a 1902 M96 Mauser made at Carl Gustaf Stad. (CGS). 
From what I can tell all of the metal parts match.  The foreend bands, bolt, striker, safety, and buttplate.  The cleaning rod is numbered but does not match.

I am not new to shooting as I have owned many air rifles, used to go hunting with my friends Grandad (using his shot guns, 410, 20g, 16g, 12g O/U&#39;s,
S/S&#39;s and semi auto&#39;s) and have used some british military rifles in the army cadets over there (.303, .22 and the SA80 5.56mm nato). I am from the UK,
where rifle ownership is difficult at best, but now live in PA. I am a fabricator / welder and a machinist (lathes, millers, borers etc).

			<description><![CDATA[ I have what I presume is an M-96 Swede. I found it in a used gunrack in the local Gunsmiths shop/store for $150. It had already been Bubbafied! The gunsmith
told me that the importer was responsible for the hack job and that they did it to improve sales! Dont know if there is much validity in his story.but I bought
it anyway. It was drilled and tapped for Weaver scope mounts, the barrel was cut down to 23.5&quot; and it was fitted in a Ramline Woodtech synthetic stock.

  I have a Model 46 9.3x57 that was customized in Sweden. It has a side mount three screw base with detatchable scope base similar to a Swedish Sniper rifle.

			<description><![CDATA[ I have never reloaded but will start to feed my swede&#39;s. I have M96 FSR rifles, CG63&#39;s and an CG80 on the way. I have read as many posts as I could
find to see what others are using to handload. I ordered some 120 gr and 140 gr Sierra MK bullets and will use Privi brass. I was able to trade for some CCI
200 primers. Some of the recommended powders, 4350, 4895, 4831 etc are not available. I was able to locate RL-19, RL-22 and IMR 4064 powder from one source.

			<description><![CDATA[ I recently received a beautiful Swedish M1896 Mauser with the &quot;SA&quot; stamp. The stock is beautiful and it matches the receiver. So it is the original
stock. The only problem is that the stock cracked by the bayonet lug area enroute to my house thru USPS. Kind of a bummer but that happens. Anyways I would
love to repair her but I will probably buy another stock just to keep the original stock safe. The pictures I took are the best I could do. I can tweek the

New to the shooting sports, and I picked up a Swede on auctionarms.com as my first rifle. It&#39;s been chopped down- a travesty, I know, but may prove useful
in the thick woods of NY and NJ. The bluing is probably about 75-80%, the numbers all match - 00960 - and more than anything else I&#39;m wondering how old
this puppy is, and whether it&#39;s of Swedish or German origin. How would I be able to tell?
