New to the shooting sports, and I picked up a Swede on auctionarms.com as my first rifle. It's been chopped down- a travesty, I know, but may prove useful in the thick woods of NY and NJ. The bluing is probably about 75-80%, the numbers all match - 00960 - and more than anything else I'm wondering how old this puppy is, and whether it's of Swedish or German origin. How would I be able to tell?
