They nest so shallow in some lakes that you can cruise with your trolling motor and literally choose the fish you want.

We usually fish smaller lakes than the ones you named. Fished Little St. Germain a few times, Lake Content, Pickerel Lake over in Oneida Co., and a few others. We've driven through Eagle River on the way to Kentuck Lake, but never made it up to the Desert.

We fish for walleye, bass, and northerns. Usually try a day of crappie fishing, too.
