I found some Gamo Raptors at Wal-ly World & tried them in my little Crosman PowerMaster66. I did a very un scientific test. I only tested the effectiveness
on tin cans.

The Crosman pellet only penetrated 2 layers & dinted the Third. The Gamo Buried its-self in the fifth layer. Same range same pumps. Doesn't make them
hunting pellets, but they are deadly on bean & dog food cans!

Thanks for posting that, SuperMosin. I haven't shot my new Walther yet, so I guess I'll take them back and exchange them for heavier pellets, which are
bound to be cheaper than these were.

You should never use these in spring guns, they are so light that the piston just slams everytime, somewhat like dry fireing. Ive shot them and various things
and they just dont expand. I love using crosman premier hollow points for hunting.

Fired a Crosman pellet, a Rraptor, & a Aquila Super Colibri into an old Cabelas catalogue. None of them made it thru, but the Super Colibri went deeper
& made a much bigger wound chanel. Both pellets hit closer to POA. That may have been the old Savage or the equally old shooter. Tried them in my 10/22
& it wasn't worth the trouble! The Little Raptors seem to shoot well in my Crosman.

From online reviews accuracy results with the Raptor vary from one model of air rifle to another. I'll probably give them a try in my Daisy.

I saw the pellets with the imbedded steel . or perhaps brass BB in the nose cavity at WallyWorld awhile back, I didn't notice what manufacturer.
I'll check next time I go there .
I think those were over priced for my purposes so I didn't give them much thought at the time.

Just started shooting my S&W 78g...

Are these the ones with a steel BB buried in the nose cavity?

I'd noticed that steel BBs often penetrate better than lead pellets, when fired at the same power level from the same gun.

I figure the FPE of an air rifle shot wont garauntee a kill if the pellet doesn't cause significant tissue damage, but a deep hole in the body will kill
most small animals pretty quickly.
