			<description><![CDATA[ Actually, the release date was September 27, 1941, more than two months before Pearl Harbor.  This was a matter of having made the right movie at the right
time, even if not planned.  I see this movie as sort of like a Model T Ford - I like to see them at antique car shows, and they were great in context of the
time that they were made, but no way would I have one as my primary mode of transportation today.  And did you ever notice that the term &quot;my friend&quot;

film made in 1941.  The awards themselves took place in February of 1942, about two and a half months after Pearl Harbor.  One of the nominations was for

			<description><![CDATA[ How about that movie about the two US GI&#39;s in Europe during WWII who go AWOL and hideout in a house.......only to find it inhabited by killer little kids
with various handicaps, mental and physical and an old couple who raised (trained) them, a little girl in a mask and a kid with no legs armed with a Luger
stand out. Anyway , the Germans come to loot the house of priceless paintings hidden in the basement, and theres a huge &quot;fire fight&quot; kind of, and
they show a tank and about... ]]></description>
