Although the US Congress never ratified the Hague Convention and the pre-WWII Geneva Conventions, it has been our government's policy to abide by these
international treaties. The only international military restriction on small arms ammo is that it must have a full metal jacket over the lead core, and must
not have an explosive projectile. The way to get around this restriction is to have a void or hollow area between the jacketed point of the bullet and the
solid core of the bullet. The...

If you really want all the scoup you should go and read about the Grendel cartridge at the Grendel forum. You can find it by doing a 6.5 Google search. There
is a real reason why the people behind the 6.8 SPC refused an invitation to go head to head against the Grendel at a Blackwater match, they new they would
loose. There is also a reason why the 6.5 bullet is winning a lot of National Match meets, it is because the 6.5mm bullet is just about a perfect design for
accuracy...

The Russian 5.45mm bullet is such a good bullet out of the short barreled AK because of its design which probably pushes the envelope of what is allowed by the

The Geneva Convention did not outlaw expanding bullets, it was the Hague convention and the U.S. never signed it and actually does not obey it. The U.S. is
currently using expanding and disintegrating bullets in the Middle East. Well, how do they get away with it. They...

This is the most common mistake that the Big Bore boys always make, i.e. equating weight of the bigger bullet to the smaller bullet. The smaller bullet can be
driven at higher velocities and although its weight may be less its ballistic co-efficient and the ability to penetrate because of its smaller diameter often
way out penetrates...

There's no magic bullet, but unless someone comes up with a .50BMG that weighs 8 lbs and has no recoil on 3 round burst, the Army will make due with what
fits in the current platform.

I could be wrong but as I understand it these are the facts........

The 5.56 was a good bullet in Viet Nam because it was shot at high velocity from a 20 inch barrel. That velocity is what made it upset and tumble when it hit
flesh. In the M4, a much shorter barrel, it does not have enough velocity to act as it did in Viet Nam and thus has turned into a less then adaquate cartridge
at distances behond say 100 yards. It is a light weight bullet and thus sheads its velocity very...
