You are right on target. B.2.A.F.4.84. = Bavarian.2nd (Regiment).Artillerie.Fuss(Foot).4th Batterie.84th waffe / weapon. Would love to see pics of your Gew 91. I have a GEW 91 with all matching numbers and was wondering about the history of the carbine. The Barrel Band is stamped B.2.A.F.4.84. It still has the stacking hook on it. Is this a Bavarian Foot Artillery unit? If so, does anyone know how I can get more history on it?
