        <![CDATA[ Mine was a Turk from Big 5, in 2001, IIRC. I found this site in an attempt to learn more about that ONE rifle. Boy did I get caught up in it.


Turns out that rifle was a real keeper. Walnut tigerstrpie and ALL matching, nice bore too! ]]>

turned out pretty nice. Oh yeah, cost me $249!!

			<description><![CDATA[ In either 1968 or &#39;69, best friend and I each bought 1893 Spanish carbines in 7x57 from the Gibson&#39;s in a neighboring town as the one in our town
didn&#39;t carry any milsurps. We both sporterized &#39;em-who didn&#39;t @ that time?-and I later traded mine even for a Llama .45 pistol which later also
went away in another trade. These were the first of many..... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Can&#39;t remember which came first but it would either be an all matching 1907 Swede M96 that I picked up in a local sporting goods shop just because it
looked neat or an M38 Turk that I got from Dunhams for 50 bucks or so. Doing research on those two rifles led me down the long and sometimes expensive path of
milsurp collecting. 50+ rifles later my wife says I can quit any time now. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Like so many others---the old 1891 Argentine Mauser. $19.95 back in 1962 from Ye Olde Hunter. The aluminum handled bayo was $1.95. Stiil have both. Also have a
Lyman Ammunition Maker reloading kit in 7.65.

My younger brother bought a 95 Chilean for I think $12.95. We may have been the most heavily armed 13 and 11 year old boys in Georgia. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ After the big D, and got my life back on track, it was ME time, so I got a DCM AR15. That did it, got the C&amp;R and saw the Mich, M48 thing and got 2. Sold

pay big bucks @220 I think.  The first show we went to took home 6! Now at @ 70 space is getting tight as are the $$. Trying to get one of each,. Doug. but

it&#39;s a rattle trap but shoots well.  My first &quot;military type&quot; weapon that I got to actually &quot;own and care for&quot; was an Armi San Marco
repro Colt 1860 Army ordered from Gander Mt. mail order way back in the early 90&#39;s. It broke back in 2000 or so and I didn&#39;t have the knowledge at the

			<description><![CDATA[ In 2002 I bought an M48A. Got all hyped after reading a magazine article (some survivalist mag someone gave me) about Mitchell&#39;s Mausers. However, no local
FFL&#39;s wanted to receive an order for a reasonable price. So I found an excellent M48A at a local shop with all accessories and a nice walnut stock for
about $220.
