Found a Waa 280 marked laminated stock at a local gun store for $25.00. It is unmolested, all markings are intact and all serial numbers and Waa 280 stampings

can I find a 27 or S/27 ERMA stamped barrel and receiver, bolt assembly, trigger guard assembly, floor plate, barrel band spring, etc. to complete this
project? I am not concerned...

Well gentlemen, you would not believe what I discovered today. I went back to the shop where I purchased the stock and found the matching barreled action and
all the other parts that once were mated to this stock. Unfortunately it was put into a synthetic stock, front and rear sight were removed and scope was
installed, bolt handle was ground flat on one side to clear the scope, knob to engage the safety was replaced with a smaller after market knob. They are asking
$250.00 for this abortion...

Rguns was selling barreled actions for $150 in their Shotgun News ad.

I don't know if they would do a special pick.

The other option, find a sporterized rifle with an early date action even if you couldn't

match to Erma, who is going to take out a loupe on the range and start checking the Waa.

For $25 into the stock plus the cost of a chopped rifle you still might get away cheaper

than a russian capture rifle.
