it&#39;s often the winner&#39;s gun.

			<description><![CDATA[ I have had mine for about 2 years. I has eaten everything fed to it, but I havent found anything that regulates with the back sight settings. It is an accurate
rifle and goes to the range everytime. It is a neat way to practice the use of military peep sights and two stage triggers without breaking the bank with ammo
expenditures.

HoosierDaddy is your comment a question? Vintage VW bugs (beetles) were all air-cooled engines. Radiators don&#39;t exist; just like some gun parts. I lived in
Evansville for 3 years; wife was born there and we still go back for visits. Great town.

			<description><![CDATA[ If your rear ramp sight is screwed on you can remove it and have a machinist make you a mount that will fit onto the receiver and attach with screws. No
permanent modification. Some were either welded to the receiver or permanantly attached so you&#39;d have to alter the rifle to do it which is a NO NO here to
discuss it.

I wouldn&#39;t call them rare but they certainly are historical artifacts from the post war period and deserve their place in history. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ You certainly can modify your MAS-45, but if you do, that will whack the value. Yours, esp. with the mixed mas/mauser parts and original condition, could sell
right now for $350-550. Add a scope and losing the hood etc., it might be a struggle to get $300. Financially, it would be better to modify something less
collectible.

			<description><![CDATA[ I did quite a bit of research before going to the auction.  Oddly enough the rifle has the MAS stamp on the reciever (no mauser stamp), but has a mauser
buttplate.  Guess they had extras from the mauser factory.  Rifle had never been fired, but that changed awfully quick.  It would be nice to mount a low power
scope on it, but it looks nearly impossible without modification.  So, I guess I&#39;ll have to live with the iron sights (the front sight hood seems to hurt
