A while ago I realized that Zastava Arms, the current incarnation of the old Kragujevac Arsenal, is apparently still manufacturing and selling the Yugoslavian version of the Tokarev, the M57 (click on the
"pistols" link). Apparently it's identical to the TT-33 except for a longer grip increasing the magazine capacity by one round. It is chambered
in either 7.62x25mm and 9x19mm. I also noticed that Marstar Canada lists them on their web site, though they are out of stock.

I had a new in the box Yugo M-57 about 10-15 years ago. It was the commercial version, w/o any type of safety and only came with one mag. ( I don't have
the slightest idea of how it made it to the states ), and was in 9x19mm. I thought it was tremendously cool, but the accuracy was abysmal. From a rest at 15
yards, it was all I could do to keep it on the paper. I tried white box 115 gr, 124 gr. premium, everything. Nothing worked. Out of frustration, I sold it
for what I paid for...
