        <![CDATA[ ...Well, made my first and last stop at a local gun store/range today.  Started looking around, saw two Mosins on the wall behind the counter.  Looked closer. 
Both standard vanilla Russians, one an M44, the other a 91/30.


$279.00 for the M44.


$249.00 for the 91/30.


Entertained the thought of asking them if the price was negotiable, but I overheard the guy behind the counter in an arrogant toned discussion with a customer
ahead of me.  Nah.  I&#39;ll save my money for another day...... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ I never got too deep into the Finn stuff, although it is a fascinating part of Mosin collecting.

The most &quot;exotic&quot; I almost got was a Finn&#39;ed M91 Dragoon I have been eyeing up at my local gun shop but not sure I want, trying to justify
another Mosin when I already have over 30 of them, and most haven&#39;t had a live round chambered since 2003 or so......some have never seen a round. I would
love to someday find time to take all of them out and shoot them. ]]></description>

Last Friday I ran into 3 M-44s one polish 1955 unmatched the other 2 Russian all $175ea. This shop keeps around 15 to 20 mosin&#39;s on hand and gets new
shipment regularly. 91/30 R-Guns $119 ea. Laminate stocks $129. He said a mosin is a mosin,  and that he did not care about markings he sells them all at the

			<description><![CDATA[ Prices vary like the wind and depend greatly on what the dealer wants to make and of course what he paid for it. General rule I find is if the dealer has
several dozen Mosins his prices will be better because they can buy them at a better price. Take a small time shop and he buys 2 just to test the water sort of
and of course he pays top dollar. His prices will reflect that generally being higher. They really need to make at the very least 45% or slightly more to
exist. If he bought 10 or... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Just as a heads-up, I checked the local Dunham&#39;s today and the 91/30s with round receivers were on sale for $89.99. So cheap Mosins are still out
there...Dunham&#39;s laminated 91/30s were still overpriced at $199 though - heck, you can get a nice M91 for that! ]]></description>

care to look for any markings or anything because it&#39;s &quot;just another greasy beat up rifle&quot; they want to get rid of.
