        <![CDATA[ I have a recently purchased Glenfield (Marlin) 60 .22lr. I want to re-finish the stock, it seems to have some sort of cheap paint finish on it and is really
trashed looking. It also has some details in the stock (see picture) and I&#39;m wondering what will happen when I try to strip it. I assume the stripping
chemical will pool up in these areas and require some dabbing up. I&#39;m considering staining the stock and again assume the stain will pool up in the same

			<description><![CDATA[ That&#39;s an older Mod. 60.......I&#39;ve got the same stock on mine. The older ones are 18 shot magazine capacity, compared to today&#39;s 14 shot capacity,
I believe.

			<description><![CDATA[ Rest assured you won&#39;t ruin the stock.  It is a very inexpensive finish and can be made much much more handsome with a little effort.

That emblem is pressed into the stock.  You won&#39;t harm it by stripping.  Just use a toothbrush (not yours, of course, but maybe your wifes. <img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif" alt="image"> ) and use it to remove any accumulation of gunk in there.  Once you&#39;ve
stripped it, restain it and refinish it... ]]></description>
