I know! I tried forever to cram those .50 BMG rounds into one of my Magpul PMags... but to no avail. No matter how I tried, they just wouldn't go.

I guess I'll just have to stick with inserting one round at a time into the chamber. Boo!...

That rifle makes me giggle.

I've shot a single shot .50 a few times and a Barrett M82. We were poking holes w/ the Barrett in an old car at about 850 yards.

I have on hand about 400 rounds of surplus ammo... averaged about $3 per round delivered. I've not yet shot this one, but I don't imagine it's the sort of rifle you blast away with all day. On a normal day of shooting (milsurps, AKs, ARs, what have you) I may go through 500 rounds. I simply don't see me putting that many down the tube on the Ferret50.

Very nice, indeed! But how does a person afford to shoot those things? Some places are asking five bucks per bang for the ammo. I used to be able just a couple years ago to shoot 8mm Mausers all day on five bucks worth of ammo. (Turk). I guess that is one thing that puts them in a class all by themselves above garden variety rifles.

The weather was perfect today, so after mowing the yard I decided to take some pics of my Ferret50 upper now that everything's been put together. This one has the 29" stainless steel barrel, Spider Firearms' custom-made match hammer and trigger set (lighter and crisper than the Rock River Arms 2-stage NM trigger - if you can believe it!), a Rock River Arms lower, 3lb. weight in the stock cavity, Badger Max-50 rings (high), and a Bushnell Elite 4200...
