Daddy asked about the bayonet number matching.....I wanted to make sure the stock wasn't inletted with the stock disk because it's under 5000 on the s/n......I think the prices are staying pretty consistent.....$450-$500 for a rifle and roughly $125 for the bayonet. I'd say start out about $650 for the rifle and bayonet. That's just my .02 worth.

I took this M47 in trade from an ffl dealer that was getting out of the business. It had been fired by him only.

Serial number: 3413-58. With bayonet. Looks fairly new except for stock scratches from mishandling. I appreciate the info from others on this site as I am going to sell this one at some point and needed the value data.

Trip......thanks for adding your number. It's a new one to me. These rifles were ordered by the Colombians and didn't take possession. As far as I know they immediately sold them as surplus due to their change to semi-auto rifles...probably the FAL.

I just stumbled on to this site. Didn't know so many people liked Madsens'. My ser # is 0878-58. I bought it MANY years ago through the NRA magazine. No disc or bayonet. Perfect condition. Thanks. Forgot to add. At the time they said it was made for the Argentine Army. Any info on that?

The serial number on my madsen is 1974-58, I believe it to be unfired, it has no bayonet, it looks perfect.

Walked into a local shop on Wednesday and found SN 2243-58 sitting forlornly in the used/consignment rack. After my heart started beating again, I purchased it. Used, but in very good, complete condition. (see my earlier post about my bubba'd Madsen)

I just inherited a M1958, Fuerzas Armadas De Columbia, serial 2956-58... Never fired, in perfect shape.

Well, they keep showing up, but, with 242 reported out of at least 6500, there are plenty yet to be found.
Keep up the good work and if you see one, regardless of who it belongs to...jot down the s/n and report it.

Serial no. 3424-58. Gun is 99% and I believed unfired until I shot it . Very accurate. Paid $80 for it and will take a deer this fall with it.

Gosh, I haven't seen any parts available for the Madsen....nor a parts gun. Good luck in your quest. If you are unable to acquire a bolt. Maybe you can become a source for others with your rifle and part it out with what you have available.

If you haven't given me your serial number for the Madsen database, I'd appreciate your information. I'm up to 243 rifles now from around the world. I'd like to know if your rifle has the Colombian Crest on the left side of the stock, too. If you have a bayonet, I'd like to know whether it has a s/n or not and if so, the number on it.

Bayonets that are recorded are now: 41 with rifles, some numbered, some unnumbered
