history of 7.65X54 X53
I know somone wrote a definitife text on Argintine rifles not to long ago. In crafting his book did he or anyone else give a recap of the history of the 7.65 and it's two lengths? how that came to be or is it one length and two conventions which is what I have read. I have just been told on another board that the Belgium was longer X54 than the Argie X53. Seems this keeps going around. I am told Norma lists theirs as X53. I do know that Argies did not hold spec between the model '91 and '09. I found that out way back when dealing with the cursed SF ammo. Some woud only chamber in the '91. JB
