The Bluing is about 95% with the muzzle having a plumb tint to it. All matching #s (kinda, sorta) The stock is marked 530 with a triangle and what appears to be BP over 124. The receiver is stamped k530. The floor plate is stamped 530. But the bolt is stamped L 530 on the top of the handle and L130 on the bottom side of the handle. On the underside of the barrel and receiver there are some #s that match. Also the floor plate has those same #s but have been struck out. It has a front sight hood so I assume that the sight is from a m48....Right??? I'm not going to touch the stock. It's dark and has a lot of character. Tomorrow I will have the head space checked. My Mauser bayonet won't fit as the muzzle ring is to high but strangely my Czech bayonet with the CSZ markings and the blade with the sharp side up will
Go figure. The bore looks
shiny with sharp grooves and lands. Ammo should be here Thursday but as it is deer season I might not go out and give 'er a try. I have deer tags but the
woods are full of flat landers.
