To post pics is easy, assuming you have them already on your computer (scanned or digital). Go to photobucket.com and open an account (free). Upload your pics to your photobucket.com (you can submit multiple pictures at a time). After you upload them, you'll see the pics, followed by three different links for each pic. Copy the link marked, "Tag" (including the <brackets>), then paste the link into your post. Under the "Formatting" section of your post, click on the HTML selection. That's it!

Posts: 847 (09/26/07 04:03 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I just click on "IMG Code" and it highlights and a little window pops up for about a second that says "Copied". You dont even have to right click it and select "copy" out of the menu. It does it automatically. Then I just go back to the text entry window of my post (it helps to use a tabbed browser and open photobucket in a different tab) and paste it in. In order not to post oversized images which can run beyond the forum window or extend the text out so that people have to scroll back and forth to read it (they really dislike that) click on the tumbnail image on PB which will give you the big picture; on the bottom of that will be the size in pixels. For most forums you want it less than 800 in width; I suspect that this one should go no more than 450. It's got a pretty narrow format. If the image is too big to post, click on "resize" at the top of the picture in your photobucket page and select from the menu below, "Web site - E-mail" which is around 345p wide. That should be compatible with this setup... I think. I think we have to keep it below 300 KB of bandwitdth too, which is not much of a problem for me as I go with some pretty high definition images and have yet to run into problems with file size. THIS image is 639 x 376 (263 kb): Well that's obviously too big for this place - I have to use the "-> " key or slider at the bottom of the screen to scroll it over to see the right edge of the picture. This one is 159 x 136 (13 kb): I dunno who this guy is - he oughtta be locked up!!! Here's a little file that I use for an avitar (Your's Truly picking the ol' banjo in my outhouse) 42 x 47 (2 kb) Just to give you an idea of how different image sizes appear on the forum. I like photobucket so much I signed up for a subscription for about $25 bucks a year, which gives me a lot more storage space for my collection - and I've got a LOT of images in there! Another nice thing about an online photo hosting site is that if I lose my data here, I can get some of my image files back from photobucket - sort of like an online backup utility. They are constantly working to improve the site and add features, and I have found that their tech support has been very responsive and helpful. They host video files too if you are into that sort of thing. I don't know if those work here... I'll have to try it some time! Oh!; Look!; I just did! (My dogs playing "Blankie"). It does not seem to move for me; how does it work for you? My sound does not work either. All sorts of shooting video potential if it works!
