Call them up and ask to get on the waiting list. I believe Megan is the one to ask for regarding the waiting list.

It's an expensive commercial copy. Still kicking myself 30 years later for not buying the real BAR for $500Cdn. I could have. Had the money, but had also just been laid off. Mind you, $500 was an astronomical amount of money in those days. About two month's wages. Spelling and grammar count!

There is no way in my opinion to compare an OOW BAR to a Springfield Inc. M1A. Just start with the receivers and we need to go no further. I own a OOW and recently just sold a Springfield Inc. M1A Super Match from 1984 when Springfield kicked ass and the OOW blows it out of the water craftmanship wise. The BAR can't hold 2" groups at 500 meters like the Super Match could!

Remember that the early BAR's were select fire. BTW, a Springfield M1A is likewise a working man's way to owning something of a replica of the famous and hard to obtain military M14. Soon I'll be bustin' out happy to actually be fortunate enough to own both "copies". In addition I could have owned a Swiss AMT for about $700 back in those days. They are going for over $6500 now, twice what they were bringing only 5 years ago. Lot's of shoulda's I have missed out on. But back in the mid 70's I was making about $480 a month (not, bring home).
