It's not an ex-sniper.
It is stamped matching except the floor plate, which is lined out and re stamped to match.
Here is a pic of the receiver, more to come when the rifle arrives!

How much would you spend on a 1946 Izhevsk 91/30?

The going rate for a 91-30, I know it is an uncommon year for one, but I am thrifty.....(read cheap...)LOL...
I think hard to find one's are the 46 & 47's.... Pahtu. |

Very low production. I don't think I've ever seen a 46 for sale. Wild guess? 250-300.
Of course AIM will probably have them next summer for $89.95! |

Since it's the year I was born, quite a bit.
That has to be a rare
item. Carl

To me , that's like collecting M44's. ( that's just my
opinion though...) I'm sure it would be desireable to some.

Well she's mine! It was more than I ever paid for any Mosin that wasn't from Finland, but I feel it is worth it. I'll post pics when it arrives!
69396, your guess was high by a large amount.

Glad to hear you got it. That's a rare 91/30.
My most expensive 91/30 is an original but mismatched 44 Izhevsk ex-Yugo sniper (no scope) at $170. What part of GA you in? Fayette County for me. |

That's closer to what I'm paying.
I live in Hiram, GA in Paulding County. |

How many others are here in GA. Don't want to hijack, but was just wondering. I'm in Bartow.

Yep, a '42, and '43 Sako. Both were on antique receivers. If you bought the '43 I have a hang tag you probably want. I found it after the rifle
sold.
The rifle arrived today. She's in great shape. It's a '46 barrel on a '44 receiver. No scope mount holes in the receiver. So she definitely started life as a standard 1946 91/30. I'll post more pics tomorrow. I can't get the right lighting in the house so I'll use the sun.

What's that? I mean the sun! I haven't seen the sun in three days now, and when it does show itself, it is so low on the horizon that all you get glare
when driving into it and shadows when you are not. Hopefully next week it will start changing. Winter doldrums here in North Idaho.

Here are the pics. I would have had them sooner, but it decided to rain all week. Which doesn't happen that much in Georgia anymore. So here are the pics I
took today.

it's rarity I felt it was worth it. Sorry for the late reply.
