Has anyone bought one of those FEG's from J&G? They were at the Phoenix gunshow this last weekend and I forgot to stop by and look at them....I've been interested in them for a while but at $99 I wonder if they are any good?

Hello all,

Freedom is not free. The price is very high and it never goes on sale.

For $99 you can't beat those pistols. I haven't bought one from J&G, but I've owned one in the past. They have a little bit more pronounced
snap to them than a Makarov or a CZ-82, but they are still decent little shooters.

I had one of the FEG's when they first brought them over some time ago. I liked it because of its resemblance to the Walther PP. Didn't like the
caliber; 9mm Mak was too much cartridge for the gun in my hands. WV Chuck put it kindly when he said they have "snap." I would have liked mine more
if it had been .380; had a pre-war Walther PP in .380 (bottom mag release) that was comfy enough to shoot.

I think these would be an ideal platform for the .32ACP round more so than a 9x18 or even a .380.
Still neat little pistols that have that "I've been cloned from a Walther" look to them.

Sweet. Thanks for the insight. I might just have to sneak away and get me one of those.

I bought two from J&G at the $99 price. Both are like new. Changed the recoil springs to 15# and the hammer springs to 11# (Wolff springs) Great lil gun
for the price.

I have had 5 or 6 of those over the past 10 years. Every time I had one and showed it to one of my good friends they soon owned it. For the going rate of
$99.00-$125.00 they are a steal. Nice well built little pistols but like others have said they do kick a bit much for long range sessions.

No pics yet but I did make the drive to Prescott and picked one of these up about 2 weeks ago.
I have run 100 rounds of the Wolf FMJ with no stops at all. Nice little pistol. Kudo's to J&G as they pulled 3-4 from their boxes and let me pick the best one. I believe the one I got was unissued as I could not find wear on it anywhere. When I fieldstripped it for cleaning I saw the marks I put un it from firing it and they were not there before. I might have lucked out on this one.
