It's sooooo easy to do. That's a lot of case prep and trimming to make 7.5x54 out of 30-06. I'd like to see wolf let some of those berdan primers hit the market to go along with the boxer primers!

All you need is a regular 7.5x54 die set. Lube, size, trim. Fired cases will show a distinct bulge, but this is not normally a problem with good brass and moderate loads. Still, there is a greater hazard than using more appropriate brass that doesn't have to expand some .015"+ to fill the chamber. Graf has 7.5x54 in stock at $40 per 100, so it's hardly worth the effort to form from 30/06. See http://www.grafs.com/product/187951

It's sooooo easy to do." Well, European 6.5X55 is the right head size, but domestic is a bit under, though probably less than '06. Given my druthers I'd rather have peace of mind using the correct cases than save a few bucks reforming undersized brass. 'holic
