These vintage Colt revolvers are great. I've got a Detective Special (1964) and a Police Positive in .38 S&W (1922).

It shows that 1942 production OP's started at S/N 679,000. 1943 OP production started at S/N 685,000. Your indicated serial number of 681,294 is between the two. I'm not sure where you got the 1957 figure from. -Bob
