The Intrepid traveler has returned unscathed from the Antipodal Regions. He has accompanied the inhabitants on their forays, noted their strange customs,
stared in wonder at their incredible scenery and marveled at their collections. He smells strongly of beer and the truth is not in him.
The New Zealand gun collections are incredible. Full auto is small stuff over there: I saw not less than 8 Schnellfeuers. One collection had 31 full auto weapons, from 3 Schnellfeuers to a 20mm Oerlikon. Few American weapons, most of these are either Thompsons or carbines, often in M2 configuration. Visited the Army Museum at Waiorou (sp?); very well laid out and excellent displays. Somebody knew what he was doing when he planned the displays. Got taken out back to the store room: incredible stuff.
Had a great time: I recommend New Zealand to everyone.
