The Hakim I bought was out for delivery this morning, and I was doing some cleanup work on the front porch - no way I could miss that delivery! I went inside to get a can of pop, came back out, and there was that dratted missed delivery slip hanging on the door. I swear I wasn't gone more than a minute, and I didn't even hear the doorbell. I know FedEx drivers have to keep a tight schedule, but that guy goes above and beyond. Guess I'll survive until Monday, but it was so close!

One of the other shooters said he thought it was going to blow his hat off! (I didn't tell him about the direct gas into the bolt carrier.) Together we put 50 flawless rounds through the old girl before I started to clean her up for the trip home. Used long pipe cleaners in the gas tube for the first time and got it squeeky clean this go around. Dave Dave Green, NRA Life Member since 1973

I finally connected with my Hakim on Tuesday. I don't have any ammo for it yet, so about all I've done is a field stripping and a gentle cleaning - needed it too. Everything about it looks good, so that's a relief. I didn't realize they used a direct gas mechanism into the bolt carrier, that will be interesting. I understand now what others have said about the thing being a finger biter. That thing has a Garand beat hollow in that department.
