Mauser 1914 |

Just got an old Mauser model 1914. It's a great little gun in .32. However, it has a fluke. After you fire the last shot it stays open, just as it should.
However, when you push in a fresh magazine the slide slams shut. It doesn't fire, thank God,but it sure surprised me. Is this typical of this model or do I
need to replace something?
Thanks for you patience.

Howdy crzbiker and welcome to the forum. My apologies for the delay.
We have a collection of different forums on this site. For future reference Here's the main menu... http://parallaxscurioandrelicfirearmsforums.yuku.com/directory The forum you want for this question is the "C&R Handguns forum." Since I don't know the answer to your question, what I'll do is copy your topic there for you. You can then go there and view your topic. I assure you you'll get an answer there. Several older European pistol models do that. It's normal/OK, however, if you're used to a slide release to get the chamber loaded, it is a little
unnerving at first, eh?
