General Value on an M1 BM59 Bayonet ? |

Does anyone have any idea on the going rate for an M1 Garand-type model bayonet for the Italian BM59 ? (The BM59 was a Garand modified to take a 20-rd mag like the M14.) The only difference between this early BM59 bayonet and the M1 bayonet is an oversized muzzlering to fit the integral grenade launcher of the BM59. I also have the matching # scabbard for it (looks like an M8 for 10" blade) . The smaller # on the ricasso above is the scabbard #. Thanks for whatever you can tell me. Just won a cut down M1 bayo on ebay with the original scabbard. Paid $79 for it , ten years ago paid $80 for one and scabbard. I think alot is luck in finding
one when seller is selling and the buyer is right there.

There is a BM59 bayonet and scabbard listed on Ebay for $120.00 US. The fella is in Australia. I would think this would be a fair price for an unsharpened
piece in nice shape...

Unlikely as it may seem, I ran into one of these for sale, locally, about 2 weeks ago, and wouldn't have assumed there was any difference between a BM-59
and a M-1 bayonet. Anyway, it was pretty nice, and had a decent, apparently Italian, frogged scabbard (different web attachment ? ) and was priced around
$60.
