thanks for the heads-up, MD
this IS a good deal alas, I'd be at the mercy of the local 001 dealers (the $ for NICS and shipping are bad enough) but I'm simply not going to pay the bloodsuckers their $50 'transfer fee' only FTF transactions on modern firearms for me from now on... Bob |

I'm very lucky, I have a patient who is an FFL that does it for me for free, just out of kindness.
I just hang out with him, we discuss the Bible and politics for an hour, and we're both happy. |

I thought I was doing good to get mine for $150 at the local level when Centerfire had them for $120.
$90 for these pistols is an incredible deal!

I'll let you all know what kind of shape it's in when I get it. Pictures to follow!

Mine didn't come from Centerfire, but was obtained at a local dealer.
It was fresh out of a Century marked box. Since Centerfire is the only vendor advertising these, I am going to assume it came from there. I picked this up early in April:
It shoots as good as the Manhurin PP or CZ50.

Looks good to me. I'm just looking for another plinker, and I reload .32 so it should be cheap, hardly any powder in those as I recall. If mine looks as
nice as your's I'd be thrilled.

MD -
as the old saying goes: it's not what you know, it's who ya know
be sure to give us a range report Bob |

I received the unit today and cleaned it up.
I'd say it's in good-very good condition, and I'll post pics and a range report after I shoot it. This one is no looker. The black paint on the frame is heavily scraped in many places, and a soldier engraved his name and I guess unit number on the butt. It's tiny and unobtrusive; a little interesting even. Someday if I get the ambition and I'm otherwise bored I may repaint the frame, but I doubt it. The bore looks perfect. The double action trigger pull is horrid, worse than my PA-63 which says a lot. In single action, its excellent however, so that's a fair trade by me. If it's a good shooter, I'll be happy just the way it is. The grips were quite worn, but I had a nice like new set of the target grips on hand to swap out for them. I'll keep you all up to date, but if she shoots well, and I bet she does, I sure got my $90 worth. |

Are these things steel framed? Maybe we should Parkerize it? I also bought an airbrush over Christmas that I haven't used yet. Maybe we should duracoat
it?

It's aluminum, or else I'd love to park it, especially after the great job you did on the Smith. Maybe we could try the Duracoat, sounds like a good
idea.

Should the fact that the block that holds the barrel in place being made out of some type of alloy be of any concern?
Mine is a great little shooter and could easily turn into a carry piece here on the farm. I'd get in trouble if I carried at work.

I wish educators were allowed to, or encouraged to carry, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
I don't think the alloy block is a problem with a low powered round. |

Cisco,
Another thought would be to sandblast the paint off and polish it like a PA-63... I'll shoot it today and see how it runs. |

If we sandblast it and then duracoat it it will have a nice dark even matt finish to it that will look nice. I also bought a cheapie sandblaster that we
could use.

Doc: The frame is aluminum/titanium alloy and was designed for military service /police use. It is strong and long lasting. Mine came from a dealer, in a box
from Century, and is in near excellent condition. It has proven th be very reliable and more accurate than I expected, and I have been carrying it in a jeans
pocket for about a month FWIW, for carry, I prefer S&B FMJ ammo for penetration and the hotter load (177 ft/lbs) of the S&B ammo.
They are just about gone-the $90 ones still at Centerfire are sold out. Mark |

I GOT ONE FROM CENTERFIRE FOR 90 BUCKS. IT LOOKS OK BUT I THINK THE CHAMBER IS WORN BECAUSE MY BRASS REALLY GETS BULGED AT THE BASE. IT MAKES RELOADING FOR
THIS PISTOL KIND OF TOUGH. THE BRASS IS JUNK AFTER 1 FIRING.

You may have a headspace or lockup problem with the cartridge base unsupported. First check that the recoil spring is OK, as these are blowback pistols. If
it is I'd contact Centerfire right away.

Hey Doc. If you get some glass bead for Cisco's blaster, it will leave a more pleasant "matte" finish than silica sand will. If you would like it
painted, you might check around and see who does powdercoating in your area. Powder coating is much more durable than most any spraypaint although duracoat is
pretty good too.
