I still own that rifle.
I progressed to the Sheridan around my 11th birthday in 1968 to the much more seriously powered Sheridan "Blue Streak" 5mm pellet rifle which when pumped 8 times was a serious short to medium range varmint and small game air gun. I'm on my second gas piston and it shoots like new even though I have probably put well over 5,000 rounds through it since I was a kid, not to mention what my son has put through it in more recent years. I've fired it with open sights and with a scout scope mounted on it with never a bad day in the field or yard with it.
I have fired early (for me) Red Ryders and pump Benjamins over the years as well. I had a C02 Plainsman BB pistol, a Crosman 1377 American Classic (which I still own) and several others. I guess my life has been filled with shooting something or another on a regular basis.
How about you?
