I had to replace one that I gave to my son so I bought my 4th for the month at Big 5. I also have a model 44 from 1938 that I'm making into a scout but may bring it back to full stock in the future. I like having originals. I know that the last 3 from J&G have been remanufatured, that's ok. Next I want a Finn.

One of the guns that came is a 1938 91/30 which turned out be not only numbering matching - with the exception of the buttplate which has a lined-out number - but also FULLY Izhevsk Arsenal matching, down to the barrel bands. The stock is not varnished so it isn't an arsenal refurb either. The only two issues with the gun are a broken front sight base (naturally the globe sight isn't there either) and a missing cleaning rod. I'll post pics a little later when i get a chance to take some... Why, as an American citizen, do I have to press ANYTHING for English?
