A little less than $5 per box!
The boxes are ruined as far as collectability due to the packing tape they were wrapped in, but still neat, I've never seen this ammo before in real life!

Not a great buy, but I was pleased to find these and to find out they are all Polish, pre-WWII boxes of ammo.

Great find!! How/why/where did they escape WWII is my question. Those Polish symbols on the case heads are very cool, too!!

I bought a couple boxes of the top right hand box kind (marked Pocisk) but dated 1931, back in about 1995. The guy had almost a whole crate full and I am sure
he had it from the 60s. Despite my concerns about the date, the ammo shot just like it was brand new. I kept one round for reference. My guess is that it was
exported before WW2 to Spain or some other country.

I posted an inquiry over at gunboards initially to confirm that they were Polish, I was certain of the ones with the eagle, but to find out that the other two
boxes were Polish as well, that just made it even more sweet!
I posted there as I could upload the pics directly to the post without all of the photobucket or Yuku tomfoolery that is erquired to get a picture here. Later in the day, when I had more time, I went through the photobucket hassle so I could get pics here as well. I don't think I got hurt at $5 per box, did I?

You did not get hurt paying that much for that ammo. It is rare and hard to find, and I have seen some of it selling for a dollar a round at gunshows, but the
seller never had any worthwhile quantities, just a box or two. I always passed on it, but figured if I could find it in quantity at a reasonable price, I would
latch onto some, but that never has happened. Consider yourself lucky!

The funny part is that I was trying to get to the 20 or so boxes of 8x56R he had up on that top shelf, but when he pulled those down, I figured the 8x56R would
wait for another visit. I appreciate the replies!!

I'm going to hang on to this ammo. It's already been put away with the other 7,92 "Don't shoot me until you've ran out of the other
stuff" stock.
