Anyone know a parts source for these. I need a firing pin.
Thanks |

I saw that SOG had some "gunsmith specials" for $50, so I did a thorough search of places that might have enough parts to justify taking a chance on
getting one. So far about all I have found is that it is not a cz-70, and there are no parts available anywhere. Couldn't find magazines, slides, springs,
anything. Numirch didn't even have a listing for it, which isn't a good sign.
If you do find a place that has parts, list it here, as I may still be interested in one if I can find parts.

What might cause you some trouble in finding that firing pin is the fact that Zastava produced not one but TWO different pistols named Model 70! If your
pistol is of the .32 caliber, I might post the firing pin measures and pics here, so anybody with a lathe could turn replacement ones for you. If, on the other
hand, your pistol is chambered for the 9mm PARA round, then a Tokarev firing pin should fit perfectly.

Here are some photographs of the Zastava M70...
Firing pin with its spring and the rest of the parts that hold it in place...
Magazine well. Clearly visible are the date of manufacture 1073 (october 1973) and a nitro powder proof mark ("N" with a star)...
Barrel with BTB proof mark (Tormentacija Bezdimnim Barutom - Smokeless Powder Proof) and antlers (Zastava's commercial stamp)...
Slide locked in the rear position...
M70 is probably the heaviest .32 caliber pistol ever! |

Those are great pictures!
I looked at several of those at Makarov.com when they had a retail store and was sorely tempted to pick one up, but they didn't fit my hand too well and I passed on them and grabbed a CZ-82 instead. I sure miss that store. George and Karl were always getting in some neat stuff and always had interesting stories to share.

I've had one of these for almost 3 years now, picked it up at my favorite gun shop not knowing much about it, turns out they were made by Zastava for
police-military-civilian sales.Apparently not a whole lot made it over here, I could be wrong but I have never seen another one for sale.
I have been searching for another mag and a set of replacement grips since I got it, I have a small crack in the left grip. I have a sweet shoulder holster that fits it perfectly but need a mag to fill the spare mag pouch! Also been trying to find some of the common small parts for it, like extractor and recoil spring so I can actually shoot it without worrying about the gun being rendered useless from some freak small parts breakage. Lovely shooter, seems almost too big for a .32 which is why I like it, and it's very accurate and reliable. Sort of a modified Tokarev design. This gun also led me to buy the new Zastava M88 9mm as a "companion" for the CZ-70. |

If its just the firing pin tip that's broken you can cut off the tip stub on the firing pin, drill a hole, and silver solder in a tip of the proper
diameter cut from almost any other firing pin.
