And btw, when will you be updating it again? 1891 Rifle. DWM Serial # U9707, bolt # W5703, mag # W0863 no rod yet. Handguard short, stock cartouche present but unreadable, crest partial, importer SJG, "roller coaster" rear sight. 1891 Carbine Loewe Serial K8799, all matching but rod missing. Hand guard missing, stovk converted to sporter stock and refinished, no trace of mount for side lug, stock military swivel on bottom of buttstock. Possible engineer carbine? I would like a complete stock for this one. No importer mard, rear sight is flat style, bolt handle bent, crest is scrubbed, area has no blue. General blue very good to exc for age. I have a pair of Al handled bayos for these rifles, if I can get a carbine stock? 1919 Long rifle. DWM, serial # E7717 Stock # N0200, rod # M0285. REceiver white, crest sharp, bluing 90%+. Hand guard long, stock cartiuche present. No import mark, but had a sticker from century, if I remember correctly. I still have it somewhere. I have nonmatching unissued bayo and sling for this rifle. Is there a list for the chileans? OeldeWolf

If it had a scope I'l be set, just can't take a chance. Serial# is D 0845 manufactured in Loewe Berlin

Posts: 178 (05/10/07 05:05 PM) active member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Here are mine, both Peruvian 1891s rifles: - DWM W X0X6 Long handguard No crest This gun was a 1912 updated model with the "Lange Vizier" rear sight that was broken/corroded at the base; unable to secure a proper replacement I returned it back to original 1891 configuration by replacing this part with an proper one (Along with the adequate handguard and complete front sight); barrel´s still a "SJG" and all markings, lettering, crests and s/n were scrubbed, showing only a 4-digit s/n stamped in the left side of the receiver ring by the local military armory; only original s/n remaining was on the magazine, (Wood was donated from a demilled '91) so assuming this was the original one matched to the gun, I'm currently using it. Gun shoots great and barrel is very good. - DWM W 126X Long handguard Fine crest Recend adquisition; wasted barrel I´d like to replace with a proper one keeping original looks. Probably a counterboring could save it since most of the damage (Corrosive ammo) is close to the muzzle. Gun´s all matching.

It was my first C&R and started me down this long but enjoyable road. Having just rediscovered it, I am looking forward to shooting it again. Thanks to everyone who has posted on this thread. All parts matching (even stock is original serial #); handguard has no stamps/marks; has bayonet lug; Century import stamp on barrel; crest perfect w/ "Ejercito Argentino" below; made by FMAP; has DGFM wording on bolt rail.

Original owner paid 12.50 for it at Wal-Mart in the early 60's. Shot one round at a deer, killed same. Never fired again, Rifle went into the closet and stayed there untill I bought it 1997. DM

I've got almost all the parts cobbled together for the bolt, with only the safety screw left to arrive. Turns out that was the hardest part to find. It's got very good wood and metal shows honest wear. Metal was not refinished by JLD. All matching (except missing bolt) with just one buggered screw. Bore has some frost in the grooves, but there is lots of shine and the crown looks good. It's DWM manufacture. Serial Number B5219 No import marks Crest is intact -------------------------- Freedom is never free.

No import mark Crest is intact/bold, receiver still in the white, bluing +95%, all numbers matching. Mirror bore & very few handling marks. One of my first "collector" purchases. Usually I'm buying something with a bit more character, shall we say, that I can take to the range without worry about it getting more bunged up - though this one is going to the range too, at least once. I'll just be a bit more protective.
