2. Another vote for the Marlin-Glenfield 60. Mine would shoot about three or four shots before jamming, which is apparently a pretty good track record compared to some. Problem is, there would be no telling where those three or four shots went. A 20 gauge would pattern better.
3. Speaking of 20 gauges, an Iver Johnson single shot 20 gauge. The ejector was so loose that half the time a shell would slide competely under the ejector on loading, requiring a screwdriver to pry the shell back out past the ejector so you could close the action. As for chokes, the thing was choked so full that pellets must have been exiting the barrel in single file. The gun kicked so hard the forearm would literally fall off and the barrel would unattach itself from the receiver when you fired it, leaving the dazed shooter staggering around looking for pieces of the gun after each shot and trying to shake off the resulting concussion. Only gun I've ever owned with an automatic disassembly feature.
