I saw a jap rifle all I can say is the wood was rough,and the emperior's chryanthemum it shark and untouched. My question is at $200 is it a gooid deal for a collector?

Probably not; would need more info like model, series, matching or not to answer more. A trashed stock usually means no collector interest and lower value.

What do you mean by the wood being rough? Chopped up? Or just a lot of dings and scratches? If the wood is chopped/sporterized, it loses value severely,
as 03man said. If it is complete and in original configuration, but used, it might have some collector value. All the things like caliber, exact model,
series, etc then come into play and need information on, so we can try to give a value.
