Oh, btw, I don't know if I mentioned it here on this forum but I had a 16' 1985 Thundercraft tri-hull given to me a year or so ago but it needed a
trailer under it for me to bring it home. It was a nice boat with a 60 horse Mariner on it and would have made me a nice lighter rig than my Glassmaster for
longer road trips to other lakes in my area.
But, the owner told my dad the other day that I may not want the boat any more. You see... his replacement boat, a nice looking 18' Bayliner caught fire in his garage which totally destroyed it and the garage. A gasoline explosion also blew the windows out on one side of his house and damaged the roof. It also burned to a crisp the starboard side of the Thundercraft parked outside about 25 feet from the garage. So my third boat is a goner. I might see if the Mariner outboard is okay and if it is I will look for a Carolina Skiff hull to use it one for Outer Banks fishing.

If I can ever get the weather to cooperate (already tired of the rains which ended the drought) I need to take and post pics of my '67 Chrysler Lone Star
I/O with the Renault/MerCruiser drive train, and the two sail boats I was given over the last couple of years. I actually love to troll the trout lakes with
my little 14' SunFish.

Bill,
Oh no. What bad luck. For the lack of a trailer it was lost. Hope you can salvage the motor anyway. "What happened? What the HELL happened?" Jake Holman "The Sandpebbles" |

I've had my Grandfather's Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5HP motor since I was a kid. Never touched it till this week. I bought a 12' Starcraft V hull for
$200 last week. Not in terrible shape. The owner removed the center bench and replaced it with 2 side seats so it has a walk through. Need a trailer tho..
Here's my big boat. 1989 Regal Ambassador 255XL. I've never fished off of it, just pleasure boated. Greg |

The new Giesler 12' cedar strip boat they call it a car topper and it does fit on top of the ol' Cherokee. The motor I'm running is a 1938 Elto Handitwin rated at 2.8 hp.
This is the project boat. It's a 1957 Lone*Star Malibu, a 14' runabout. The motor is a 1956 30hp Johnson. I can't believe I just now saw this thread. Garrett |
