Hello everyone. I am new here and have a question. Recently I was given a .22 cal rough rider revolver, after looking at their website for a 22 mag cylinder
the site states that they only sell cylinders for newer revolvers that are less than 10 years old and the one I have is older than that with the serial # being
only 4 digit. I have seen reports praising and badmouthing the pistol. I haven't been able to shoot it yet but it was my mom that had it and she only shot
6 rounds through it and that was it. Would like to find a 22 mag cylinder if anyone knows wheer to get one. I hope its alright to post this question here.
Normally all I collect are milsurps, like k98's, mosin nagants, p-38's and such. Thanks mike

Here's one:
http://www.gunsamerica.co...Rider_Cylinder_Chrome.htm Glad to have you with us! Sounds like you have a cool mom, but she ought to shoot more... Don't let anyone bad mouth your gun. I've seen some Rough Riders and they looked pretty nice, especially for the price. If it's paid for, accurate enough for your needs, safe, and reliable, it's a good gun. Bill |

BTW, FWIW, I've owned two .22 revolvers with LR/Magnum cylinders. An H&R (wish I never sold that one) and a Ruger Single Six. I only used the Magum
cylinders a few times and put them in the safe. The LR is MUCH cheaper, as accurate if not more accurate, and just as much fun. The extra power of the Magnum
is not important for plinking and target practice, and I don't think there is a lot to hunt with it. Maybe coyotes, but I don't know.
So, maybe spend the money on ammo, and take your mom shooting with you. I'm just sayin' Bill |

Thanks for the info, I agree I probably wouldn't use the mag cylinder much anyway just want to try and keep things somewhat original if possible. Spent
too much money anyway in the last 3 months buying mil-surps, k98 rc, 1895 nagant reveolver, and yesterday a 1917 Erfurt Luger. Mom I would tell, but don't
mention the luger to my wife. Thanks mike
