So, after work, I went over to Sportsman's Warehouse to see if I can finally buy some powder. As I walked in, I knew it wasn't looking good to buy reloading supplies. The shelves for half empty. It looked like a convenience store in New Orleans right before the hurricane hit. The place was decimated.
So I went over to check out Black powder supplies.
My buddy recently bought me an Armi Sport .45 caliber flintlock pistol, so I needed some supplies for that. Yes, I do have some excellent friends!
On the way out, I saw this cute little Henry 22 lever action rifle sitting there on the shelf, looking lonely, minding its own business. I've always liked those little guys, and I know that they're priced pretty cheap. This particular one (black receiver) was all of $249. The store was having a "no tax" sale. So you know where this story is going... $249, out the door, how could I leave it there at that price?!
It's in my car now, were going to the range after work!
Here's the Armi Sport (Pedersoli) Kentucky Pistol. It's a flintlock, my first! I'm really looking forward to shooting it!
