(MUST CONTROL FINGERS!!!!!)
Looks good Bill! (ARRGGHHH, I CAN'T!!) What, no bolt gun!? Ya sissy! Heck, I gotta crank it from the wrong side! I once went to a "3 Gun Hunter's Match" out at Douglas Ridge Rifle Club before I let my membership lapse (some guy got testy when I put a full magazine into my M1 Carbine.) I took along my Ruger No. 1 in 45-70, shooting a 500 grain bullet, my Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt, shooting a 250 grain bullet, and my Rossi Coach Gun. All the other guys were shooting super duper, wowie zowie rifles, handguns and shotguns. I didn't win nothing, but almost everyone there came over to look at my stuff and ask "What the heck are you shooting?" I had a ball. Eric

This was my best event of the day for some reason. You can hear the plates being hit and I hit the required three for record but knocked down the 4th since I
hated to stop. I was in a zone sort of. It might be a club record and the time for the three plates was something like 6.4 seconds.
It was just dumb luck.

Very impressive! That forth shot wasn't a 'show off' shot was it? Years ago (when semi-autos were legal in this country) we had a match stage that involved 5 plates @ 200 yards, but we used to do most of our shooting prone with a bipod, and start from a standing position with the rifle loaded, safety on and un-shouldered. I knocked the five plates down in seven seconds and that was the club record (note included having to 'fall' into the prone position). Four plates off-hand in 6.4 seconds? I don't think we ever would have dreamed of getting anywhere close to that though. We also did a 'man vs man' match were two competitors would shoot at the same time and have to knock down 2 plates at 200 yards (ie 2 plates each)
and the first one to do it was the winner. This was repeated until everyone had a go - the winner from one set 'played' against the winner of another -
bit like tennis really. That really got the adrenalin going when you were against a good shot.

Nice shooting Bill. Maybe you could improve your time with a selector switch on your BAR..... just kidding.
