I'm trying to work up loads for my herd of m-95's and .330 bullets are making shotgun looking patterns. I've got the Hordany's in 205gr. and they work, kinda.

lead bullets for my m-95 |
Lead | |

I'm trying to find someone who can pour me 8x56R bullets with a dia. of .331, .332, .333 . I'm not worried about the weight of the bullet. Somewhere
around 150 to 220 gr. would be fine.

Have you tried running this question by the folks at the Cast Boolits forum (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/index.php)?
I had a similar question a few years back and found LTD Custom Cas Bullets (http://www.customcastbullets.com/). Unfortunatley, their web site states that they are not talking orders right now due to a shortage of lead... Dan |

What most of the M95 shooters over there have found works best is the Lee .338 boolit. (Preferred term for a cast bullet over there.) Some size it down to
somewhere in the .332-.334" range, some shoot it at .338". The chamber throats and leades are said to be large enough to easily accept a .338"
boolit, which will size down as it enters the rifling. .338" gas checks are a bit difficult to find from most commercial sources nowadays.

with a wheel-weight alloy, my lee 205 gr. 8x56r mold casts at .331"; a .328" push-thru sizer opened to .331" seats standard 8mm gas checks.
lubed with liquid alox and loaded with 31 gr. of imr 3031 yields crono velocities of 1800 fps and, offhand, this combo is deadly on a gallon-jug sized rock @
100 yds. recoil is lots milder than jacketed surplus loads.
as a bonus, this bullet sized to .325" with the same charge produces a 3", 100 yd. group from my 8mm turk mauser. budman46 |

I purchased a bullet mould from CBE in Austrailia before lee started making them. I bought a 2 cavity one is a plain base at 200 gr. and the other is 215 and
takes gas checks. the gas check one shoots best. diameter is right at .330 with ww plus just a bit of tin. I recently bought the lee mould but still like the
CBE brass mould more. I have tried several loads and unique has been the best so far. i have shot a few 1 inch groups at 50 yards. the sights on these carbines
leave a bit to be desired. Joe Gifford aka argie1891

lead bullets for my M-95 | ||

Well, I got .338 bullets from montain bullets works and a Lee resizer and resized a bunch of bullets to .332.
I loaded one box(of 50 bullets) with 16 gr.s of 2400 and one box with 18 gr's of 2400, (all the bullets are 200 gr.s) one rifles had a .327 bore, one carbine had a bore of .330 and one .332. For the first time since I've played with these rifles I was getting five shot groups of 2 to 2.5 inches at fifty yards. I was getting three and four shot groups (out of five shots) under 1 to 1.5 inch. I am a very happy camper. "O" all the more accuret groups were shot with the 18 gr.s of 2400. I'm in the process of ordering more bullets now. All three rifles were showing signs that they were shooters. (ok, I've only got five more rifles to check out. I've got 8 of them.) And yes, I have many other toys to play with. least of all a Ljungman, M1A, M1, etc. Pat |
