last week i visited a pawn shop in green valley az. they had a 98k mauser in one of the show cases. i had to check it out, it is a matching BNZ 43 with no
import marks
and a clean shiney bore. the stock is numbered to the gun but it was cut and rounded off a half way up the forearm. i took it home for $200.00. i ordered a replacement laminated stock, hand guard and rings from r-guns advertized in shotgun news for $100.00. sometimes lady luck smiles.
