type 1 italian |

A member on another forum has offered to sell me what he believes is a type 38, judging by the pics he sent to me it is so very obvious that this is actually a
type 1 italian made gun. His uncle brought it back or bought it shortly after returning from his tour in the Korean war and has been in his family and unshot
since coming here. that being the case, he only wants $225 shipping included. the gun itself is in a beautiful, unrestored condition, actually one of the
cleanest milsurps I have come in contact with from that time period. I am very new to Japanese weaponry and would like your ideas on whether it is worth the
money or not. I feel as though it is already, having seen just one of them on gunbroker the other night and it was considerably more than $225 but I try not
to judge a guns value by gunbrokers sometimes very inflated prices. Any info on this weapon and it's value or history would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you'll be happy with that rifle.
Send me the guys address and I'll have a word with him. Other than the U.S. sling, it's swell. Buy it. Eric

Yes, for that price it's well worth it, and the G.I. sling has value too. With a little luck the cleaning rod can be found too. The Type I rifles are well
made and very accurate.
