I said when the new James Bond got the job that he looked more like a Ukranian gangster than Bond, but he looks like he fits the part in this movie. Looking forward to it. She'd been interviewed for the book the movie was based on as well as a documentary on the History Channel. She was given an opportunity to see an advanced screening before the movie was released and loved it. My brother, who can be very critical, saw it the other day and also loved it. I'm hoping to see it myself as soon as I get a chance.

The Germans spoke German with subtitles and the Russians spoke Russian to each other with subtitles but when the Russians spoke to the Poles they spoke English (lame). It didn't engage me as much as I thought it would. I never really felt an emotional attachment to the characters. It was worth seeing and I am glad I saw it but it doesn't make my A grade list. Lots of great milsurp action. But, again, the K98s' didn't have cleaning rods!

That would be the deal breaker for me if they didn't. Sounds like one I'll have to see when it comes out on DVD for the home market.
