I dunno, any significance to these since these are the current crop of repros on the market? Maybe someone's attempt at authenticity?

Very rare! Those don't look too bad for repros. I wouldn't have ever thought there would be a need for something like that with the abundance of real, post war slings out there.

I once bought a couple original slings from a gunshow vendor for $10 each. He was selling these repros for $19 each. I dunno, I guess because they just looked newer. The current repros are actually very well made slings, and I've seen them sold as "unissued Polish slings" so buyer beware.
